First Race of the Season Wrap Up

Mike Kimmis, OT5R Throwdown in T-Town Winner

OT5R's first race of the season was a success with 14 cars entering the Outlaw 10.5 / RVW competition in front of record breaking crowds at Tulsa Raceway Park! Mike Kimmis qualified #1 with a 4.199@189.66, followed up by Mark "Woody" Woodruff with a 4.202@185.54 in qualifying.

1st Round Kimmis defeated Rick Dean, Lowery defeated Riffel, Gaines defeated Stinnett, Woody beat Burkybile, Larry Wright defeated Todd Kitchen and Dewayne Mills beat Stafford and Josh Long got a bye(?). In the 2nd Round Kimmis got a bye, Lowery defeated Brian Gaines, Woody beat Larry Wright, and Josh Long beat Mills with a hole shot victory, 4.366 to 4.365!

In the semi's it was Kimmis over Lowery, and Woody over Long leading up to the final round. Kimmis pulled out all the stops and defeated Woodruff with a record breaking 4.186@189.78 blast to Woodruff's off pace pass running 4.672@184.93. Thanks to all the OT5R racers that came out and supported the class, and congratulations to Mike Kimmis on the win, and Mark Woodruff on the Runner Up!
